Bethany LaPenta is an experienced education professional with a strong background in computer science and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Head Learning Facilitator for various MIT programs at 2U since November 2017, Bethany has also facilitated courses on data storytelling and human-computer interaction. Concurrently, at Harvard Extension School since August 2017, Bethany has been involved as a Course Facilitator for several computer science courses, including Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and the Science of Intelligence. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Lab Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with an internship at edX. Bethany holds a Master of Science in Fintech from the University of Central Florida and advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
