Talia Kagan has a diverse work experience. Talia began their career in 2009 as a Deputy Managing Editor of BlogDailyHerald.com and Features Editor for the Brown Daily Herald Inc. In 2010, they worked as Front of House Staff for the Park Avenue Armory. In 2011, they worked as an Afterschool Costumes Tutor for The Wheeler School, Brooklyn Book Festival Intern for Brooklyn Borough Hall, and Festival Assistant for Brooklyn Book Festival / Brooklyn Borough Hall. In 2012, they worked as a Freelance Proofreader, Office Manager for Camp Shomria, Hashomer Hatzair, and Front of House Staff for Theater for A New Audience. Finally, in 2013, they worked as a Communications Associate for the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President. In 2016, they worked as a Music Manager, Head DJ, DJ, and Front Desk Manager for 305 Fitness.

Talia Kagan attended Stuyvesant High School from 2004 to 2008. Talia then went to Brown University from 2008 to 2012, earning an A.B. in Comparative Literature. In 2010, they studied Comparative Literature at Université Paris 8.
