Kathy Y. Wei, Ph.D.

Kathy Y. Wei, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the fields of molecular biology, computational protein design, and machine learning. Kathy Y. is currently serving as a Scientific Co-Founder & CSO at 310 AI, and previously worked as a Senior Scientist and Scientist at Amgen. Kathy Y. has also served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley and as a Senior Fellow in David Baker Lab at Univeristy of Washington. Kathy holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University where they worked in Smolke Lab and also rotated in Yang Lab and Covert Lab. Additionally, they have worked as an Undergraduate Researcher in Pun Lab at University of Washington and as a Software Development Intern at Amazon. Kathy Y. has also worked as an SAT course instructor at Kaplan. Kathy has several publications to their name in reputed scientific journals.

Kathy Y. Wei, Ph.D. completed their undergraduate studies and earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Bioengineering and Computer Science from the University of Washington in 2009. Kathy Y. then pursued their studies in Bioengineering at Stanford University, where they obtained a Master's degree in 2010 and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in 2015. Kathy Y. also holds several certifications related to Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) that they earned through Coursera in January 2021.
