Alex Thorson has a diverse range of work experience in marketing, public relations, and retail. They most recently worked at 32 Degrees as the Creative Marketing Director, where they were responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of marketing strategies and establishing relationships with various media outlets. Prior to that, they served as the Social Media Manager at the same company, where they managed organic social media strategies and collaborated with the Ecommerce Director on customer acquisition and retention initiatives. Alex also has experience as a Digital Marketing Coordinator at 32 Degrees and as a Marketing & Graphic Design Intern at Yumi Kim. Additionally, they have held internships at Nicole Miller, R13, and The Virginia Athletics Foundation, and worked as a Retail Stylist at Free People. Alex's work experience is complemented by their background as a student-athlete at the University of Virginia.
Alex Thorson attended the University of Virginia from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication and Media Studies. Afterward, from 2018 to 2019, Alex pursued further education at the Parsons School of Design - The New School, earning an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Fashion Marketing.
