Evaristo Cruz

Evaristo Cruz, SPHR, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Evaristo is currently the Director of Human Resources at Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds since February 2018. Prior to this, they were a semi-pro dancer at Lorenz Latin Dance Studio from September 2016 to March 2020. From June 2014 to January 2018, Evaristo served as the Associate Vice President of Human Resources at The Fortune Society. Before that, they were the Human Resources Manager at the Guttmacher Institute from August 2011 to June 2014. Evaristo also worked as an HR Manager at the Rainforest Alliance from June 2010 to August 2011. Evaristo began their career as an HR Generalist Volunteer at UNFCU from April 2010 to May 2010. Evaristo's extensive experience also includes serving as the Director of HR Administration/Business Manager/Branch Executive Director at YMCA of Greater New York - West Side from August 1998 to October 2009. Throughout their career, Evaristo has demonstrated their expertise in talent management, employee relations, organizational development, and HR strategy.

Evaristo Cruz, SPHR, holds a Master's Degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Baruch College, which they obtained between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they completed a B.B.A. in Human Resources Management at Pace University - Lubin School of Business. In 2011, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
