Brian Hu

Brian Hu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Brian is currently serving as the Senior Director of Data Engineering and Business Intelligence at 360insights.com. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Engineering - Data, Reporting and Analytics at Index Exchange for five years. Brian also served as an Advisory Board Member at Rutgers University - Newark for a year. Before that, they held various roles at PointClickCare, including Manager of Data Architecture and Big Data Innovation, and DBA Manager. Brian started their career as an Advisory DBA at CIBC and later worked as a Senior DBA at Digital Connexxions Corp. Brian also has experience as a BI Reporting Consultant at Knowledge First Financial and as a Database Administrator at Nikon Canada Inc. and Crowe Soberman. Their early professional experience includes working as a Program Analyst at FCT.

Brian Hu earned their Bachelor of Science degree in 1992 from Peking University. Brian then pursued their Master of Science degree from the Chinese Academy of Science, completing it in 1995. Brian went on to further their education at The University of Hong Kong, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidacy in 1999. Additionally, Brian obtained the ITIL Foundation Certification from HP Education Services in 2012.
