Dan Cates

Dan Cates has a diverse work experience. Dan started their career in 2013 as a Staff Accountant at Campus Outreach. Dan later worked as a Bookkeeper/Marketing Designer at Agape Lawn Company and as an Accounting Controller and Bookkeeper at CQC Home. In 2016, they joined Thomas, Judy & Tucker, P.A. as a Staff Accountant specializing in e-Commerce. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Accountant at Backpack Partners, where they managed eCommerce accounting and financial reporting for multiple entities. In 2021, they became the Head of Accounting at 365 Holdings, overseeing staff accountants and managing the accounting systems for 13 entities. Dan also worked as a Sales Representative and Sales Development Representative at different companies. Additionally, they served as the Vice President of the Board of Directors at Shield North Carolina.

Dan Cates earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a focus in Financial Analysis and Information Systems from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended Durham Technical Community College from 2004 to 2009.
