Preston Dillard

Preston Dillard, CAIA, is the Founder and Managing Director of 3Chopt Investment Partners, a boutique investment advisory firm established in April 2022, focused on providing objective and customized financial guidance. Prior to this role, Preston served as the Head of Strategic Advisory at Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley LLC from July 2019 to April 2022, where earlier tenure included positions as Director & Portfolio Manager in Strategic Advisory from October 2005 to July 2019. Preston's career in investment management began at Bank of America Private Bank from 2001 to 2005 as a Portfolio Manager, managing over $500 million in client assets. Earlier experience also includes roles as an Investment Advisor at a Richmond-based broker/dealer and as Director of Operations at Interior Solutions. Preston holds a degree from the University of Virginia, earned between 1991 and 1995.
