Matthew Soson

Matthew Soson is an artist, creative director, and immersive technologist with nearly 20 years of experience in directing, designing, performing, and developing narratives across theater, film, and XR. They founded The Room Downtown in 2016, where they operate a photo and film studio, and have served as a technical director and creative director in various capacities, including at Meteor Studio and LIMINAL Space. Matthew has also taught at Arizona State University, focusing on design and immersive experiences. They hold a B.A. in Theatre from UCLA and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Digital Media Performance from Arizona State University. Currently, Matthew works as an Experiential Creative Technologist, developing cutting-edge immersive learning experiences.
