Jacqueline Tilligkeit's work experience begins in 2005 when they worked as a DEVELOP Intern at NASA Ames Research Center, where they used satellite images and GPS fieldwork points to analyze change detection in vegetation after forest fires in Yosemite National Park. Jacqueline also gained skills in GIS basics, public speaking, video development, and graphic poster development.
In 2006, Jacqueline continued as a DEVELOP Intern at NASA Ames Research Center, assessing preferred Pacific Walrus habitat in Alaska based on sea-ice thickness. Jacqueline combined airplane tracks with GPS locations and segmented satellite RADARSAT imagery.
From 2007 to 2008, Jacqueline worked as a DEVELOP Intern at NASA Ames Research Center, where they correlated ground data aerosol measurements in the Central Valley with satellite measurements. Jacqueline assessed the accuracy of MODIS Aerosol Optical Thickness using spatial and statistical analysis.
In 2008, Jacqueline served as a GIS Intern at the County of San Luis Obispo, mapping pavement conditions and creating graphic maps. Jacqueline also compiled and cataloged legal documentation and history of roads in geodatabases.
At Cal Poly State University, Jacqueline worked as an Office Assistant from 2008 to 2009.
In 2011, Jacqueline joined Althouse and Meade, Inc as a Senior Environmental Scientist/GIS Program Manager. In this role, they were the sole technical lead and project manager for Wetland Delineation projects, overseeing study areas ranging from 0.5 to 25,000 acres.
Jacqueline's most recent position is with SWCA Environmental Consultants, where they started in 2019. Jacqueline initially served as the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Coordinator until 2020. From 2020 to 2022, they held the role of Principal Geospatial Sciences Program Lead. Currently, Jacqueline is the Director of Technical Quality at SWCA Environmental Consultants.
Jacqueline Tilligkeit completed their education at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. From 2005 to 2009, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Science with a focus on Geography/Geographic Information Systems. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Soil Science from 2010 to 2012 at the same institution. In addition to their academic achievements, Jacqueline has obtained several certifications. Jacqueline received the Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) designation from Prosci in September 2021. In July 2019, they became a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) through the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI). In January 2018, they achieved the certification for Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control from EnviroCert International, Inc. and the status of Qualified SWPPP Practitioner and Developer from the California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA).
