Amy Gates-Stroud, Ph.D has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Their most recent position was as the National Director of Strategic Partnerships & Brand Development at 3DE Schools, where they started in September 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of GivingPoint from May 2017 to September 2019, where they worked towards unleashing the passion and energy of young people for civic engagement. From April 2016 to April 2017, they were the Executive Director of Roswell Arts Fund, and from October 2014 to December 2015, they were the Executive Director/CEO of Challenged Child and Friends. Amy also has experience in the education sector, having served as the Director of Education at Ädelbrook Behavioral and Developmental Services from January 2012 to October 2014, and as an Adjunct Professor at Manchester Community College from September 2007 to May 2014. Additionally, they have held positions in the special education departments of Hartford, CT Public Schools (September 2009 to January 2012) and Manchester (CT) Public Schools (August 2002 to September 2009) as the Director of Special Education and Supervisor of Special Education, respectively.
Amy Gates-Stroud, Ph.D earned their Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Connecticut in 1993. Amy went on to complete their Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from the University of Rhode Island in 1995. In 2002, they obtained their 6th year degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford. Most recently, they completed their Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration at Walden University in 2022.
