Gisli Palsson, Ph.D.

Gisli Palsson, Ph.D. has a strong background in data science and geoinformatics, with experience in various roles including Vice President of Data Science at 3GIMBALS, Chief Data Scientist at the same company, and Associate Professor of Geoinformatics in Archaeology at the University of Bergen. Gisli also served as a Senior Data Scientist at Statistics Iceland, Head of geomatics & informatics at the Institute of Archaeology in Iceland, and Geographic Information Systems Project Officer at AOC Archaeology. Gisli holds a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University, a Master of Arts from Háskóli Íslands, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Geoinformatics from Umeå University.
