Carl Fassbender

Carl Fassbender is an experienced IT director with extensive expertise in cybersecurity, network management, and leadership within both corporate and military environments. At 3M since 2007, Carl has held various senior positions, including Director, where responsibility includes the management of personnel, processes, and projects related to network security and cloud networking. Notably, Carl has led significant cybersecurity initiatives, including a $35 million program for global Network Access Control and the swift implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication for over 47,000 personnel. Additional experience includes serving as Chief of Staff for the Minnesota Army National Guard, where oversight of the Joint Force HQ staff involved setting IT policies and collaborating on cyber workforce development. Carl holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northern Michigan University.
