Yuqiang Qian

Yuqiang (Tim) Qian is an Advanced Product Development Specialist at 3M since May 2024, focusing on product development within the EMSD sector. Prior to this role, Qian served as a Scientific Principal at Henkel from November 2017 to May 2024, supporting E-Mobility customers with thermally conductive adhesives and contributing over $20 million in revenue through the development of high-performance thermal gap fillers for electric vehicle battery systems. Qian also has experience as a Director of Research and Development at Adama Materials, managing innovative projects involving thermoset resin additives, and as a Senior Scientist at HB Fuller, where expertise was applied to polyurethane reactive adhesives. Early academic experience at the University of Minnesota included research and teaching assistant roles, culminating in a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry.
