Gerrida Uys

Gerrida Uys has over 10 years of experience in the biotech industry, with a focus on product development and scientific writing. Gerrida is currently the Head of Product at 3X4 Genetics, a position they have held for the past three years. Prior to that, Gerrida was a Product Owner at HealthQ Technologies for four years, where they were also the Lead for Scientific Writing. In their previous role at Kapa Biosystems, they were the R&D Senior Scientist and Project Lead for the development of a rapid Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) DNA library prep kit. Gerrida began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, where they completed fellowships in Cardiac Regeneration.

Gerrida Uys obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Sciences from Stellenbosch University.
