Steve Houk

Steve Houk has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Steve started their career as a Lead Peer Mentor and later became a Research Assistant/Intern at Great Basin College. Following this, they served as an Account Executive at Baldridge-Dumas Communications.

Continuing their career, Steve joined the US Army as a Supervisor and served for four years. Subsequently, they joined Nevada State Prison as a Correctional Officer.

In 2010, Steve started their own business as an Owner/Sole Proprietor, which they operated until 2013. Steve then worked as an Agent at Farmers Insurance, managing a large group self-funded health plan.

Steve's entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the Chief Executive Officer of Five Card Charlie LLC, where they aimed to help businesses succeed. Steve also held the position of Head of Content at Mattress Industry Network.

Currently, Steve is an Independent Sales Representative at 3Z Brands. Steve has extensive knowledge and experience in sales, insurance, and business management.

Steve Houk earned a High School Diploma from Spring Creek High School in 2001. Steve then attended Great Basin College from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained an AA degree in Social Science. In 2009, Steve received additional certifications in Casualty, Health, Life, Property, Surety, Variable Annuities/Variable Life from the State of Nevada. Continuing their education, Steve went on to attend the University of Nevada, Reno from 2009 to 2011, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy and Journalism. In 2013, they pursued a Master's Degree in Leadership at Grand Canyon University, which they completed in 2014.
