Betsy McKay

Vice President, Operations at National 4-H Council

Betsy McKay has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Betsy started working as a Consultant at Fox Valley Technical College in January 2011 and continued until October 2013. During their time there, they provided consulting services.

After that, Betsy joined FirstPic, Inc. as a Project Manager in September 2005. Betsy worked in this role for five years and gained experience in office management, project organization, administrative operations, training and technical assistance, grant writing, publication development, and non-profit management. Their tenure at FirstPic, Inc. ended in December 2010.

In October 2013, Betsy joined National 4-H Council as a Federal Partnership Manager. In this role, they led the Federal grants function and managed staff operations to ensure the achievement of all Federal grants deliverables. Betsy also supervised grant managers, administrative assistants, and various teams related to 4-H National Mentoring Programs. Betsy held this role until August 2016.

Later, Betsy moved up to the role of Sr. Director of Account Management at National 4-H Council in August 2016. Betsy continued in this position until December 2020, where they provided strategic support and direction in account management and operations.

From December 2020 to March 2022, Betsy served as the Vice President of Account Management and Operations at National 4-H Council. In this position, they oversaw the account management and operation functions at the organization.

In March 2022, Betsy was promoted to the position of Vice President of Operations at National 4-H Council, where they currently work. The specific responsibilities and duties of this role are not mentioned.

Betsy McKay holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from American University, which they obtained between 2008 and 2011. Prior to that, between 2001 and 2005, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN. Additionally, in March 2023, Betsy obtained a certification in "Leading for Organizational Impact" from the Center for Creative Leadership.
