4 Voices

4 Voices was formed in September 2019 by Jo Westh and launched on International Women’s Day in March 2020 in Brisbane. We offer connection to girls and women who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing social isolation, domestic and family violence, homelessness and digital exclusion. Everyone has a need for connection to others. But needs differ. Connection can be social, digital, employment or community related. Or it can be about connecting people to others who may be able to help. We offer this connection face to face or over the phone. Our phone support team are volunteers from all over Australia who reach out to provide a check in for people in need. Our Connection Hub is a vehicle operated by volunteers who provide empathy and support. The Hub is outfitted with technology (mobile phones, laptop computers, printer/scanner/copier, smart TV) and has its own WiFi. We also supply a hot cup or tea, coffee or milo and biscuits as well as great conversation from our amazing volunteers. A simple chat over a coffee can be of enormous comfort - often that might be enough.
