Emma Närvä

Emma Närvä has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Emma started their career at Ventelo, where they worked as a Customer Care representative before transitioning to roles in revenue & cost control and business control. In 2008, they joined the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) as an Analyst.

After four years at PTS, Emma joined the European Commission as an Economic Analyst and Case Handler. Emma later returned to PTS, where they held various positions over the years. Emma initially worked as a Senior Policy Adviser before being promoted to Head of Unit, overseeing the Electronic Communications Services unit at the Competition Department. Their responsibilities included market analysis, implementation of regulations, and supervision of open internet and roaming regulations.

In 2014, Emma took on the role of Senior Adviser and Deputy Director in the Secure Communications Department at the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority. Emma also served as Acting Head of the Office of the Director-General and Senior Policy Adviser for International Affairs during their tenure. Their work at PTS focused on secure communications and international policy matters.

Most recently, Emma joined 4C Strategies as a Senior Consultant in 2022.

Emma Närvä completed their undergraduate education at the Luleå University of Technology, where they earned a Master of Science degree in International Business Administration and Economics. Emma then furthered their education at the University of Gothenburg, although no specific degree was mentioned. Additionally, Emma Närvä participated in a study abroad program at the University of Otago, where they focused on subjects such as Marketing Management, Tourism, and Middle Eastern Politics.
