Harold LaRue has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Since 2003, they have owned and served as the Chief Engineer at Harold LaRue Mastering, a company specializing in audio mastering. In 2022, they joined 4D Nav, LLC as an Electronic Design Engineer. Prior to that, they worked as a Journeyman at IATSE starting in 2019. Harold is also a Full Member of the Audio Engineering Society, a Member of The Recording Academy, and a Member of NAMM. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Public Advisory Panel Member and an Instructor at GROOVE U. Harold has been a freelance audio engineer since 1987. In 2021, they took on the role of Head Carpenter at Society for the Performing Arts for the 2021/2022 season, where they assisted in advancing shows and meeting production needs. Additionally, they co-owned Grass Skirt Tiki Lounge from 2012 to 2019.

Harold LaRue's education history consists of three different institutions and degree/certificate programs. Harold attended the Ohio State University from 1999 to 2000, focusing on Engineering/Computer Science. Prior to that, from 1998 to 1999, they studied Mathematics and History at Columbus State Community College. Harold'searliest recorded education was at Jackson College, where they pursued a degree in Data Processing from 1984 to 1989, with a field of study in Business and Journalism.

In addition to their formal education, Harold has also obtained several certifications. In 2019, they completed Keynote 7 Essential Training and PowerPoint 2019 Essential Training from LinkedIn. Harold also obtained certifications in CL/QL Series Essentials and Dante Certification Levels 1 and 2 from Yamaha Corporation of America and Audinate, respectively. Harold completed a certification in Digital Sound Reinforcement - Dante from Yamaha Corporation of America. Furthermore, in 2012, they took the course "Introduction to CMMI-DEV v1.3" from Carnegie Mellon University.
