In 2001, 5 Star Cases Limited further strengthened its position by acquiring Mossman Trunks. This added the classic brand and along with it, the popular range of school trunks and luggage to 5 Star’s already extensive range of cases and foam inserts.  Since acquiring Mossman, the 5 Star Group has added many new products to existing range, including coffee table trunks, bedside cabinets and laundry baskets.  All of which find many uses around the home.

Recently, 5 Star Group added  Pro-Tect Bags & Covers  to its manufacturing facilities.  Pro-Tect produces high quality padded bags and covers for a wide variety of applications and industries which compliment the extensive range of case products produced by 5 Star.

The company is based in the heart of the East Anglian Fens and occupies a site of more than 35,000 square feet which includes production, administration and storage facilities. It is well equipped with modern production systems including three large-format CNC machining centres, four automatic and semi-automatic extrusion profile saws, four hot-melt adhesive systems and three foam bandknife saws. Together with two die-cut hydraulic foam presses, extrusion profile punches and a panel laminating line, this ensures 5 Star’s manufacturing capabilities are second to none.
