Jeffrey Buth

Jeff Buth is a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at 50 South Capital. He is responsible for the financial and operational oversight of the group’s private equity and hedge fund activities.

Jeff most recently served as the Chief Accounting Officer at Balyasny Asset Management, responsible for overseeing the firm’s accounting and operational functions. Prior to Balyasny, Jeff spent 5 years at Stark Investments in various accounting and finance roles. Jeff started his career at Arthur Andersen working as Manager in the audit practice.

Jeff received a B.S. in Business Administration with a degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin. He is a CPA and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
