Halina Jael

Halina Jael Abu Bakar serves as Senior Counsel (APAC) at 500 Global since June 2023, overseeing legal functions, fund structuring, and investments across multiple Asian countries. Prior to this role, Halina contributed significantly to Khazanah Nasional Berhad as Senior Vice President from 2018 to 2023, focusing on strategic development and team growth within the Legal Unit. Halina also held a similar position at Khazanah Europe Investment Limited, managing all legal matters and advising on diverse investments. Previous experience includes Vice President and Assistant Vice President roles at Khazanah Nasional Berhad, along with senior legal assistant roles at Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill, where Halina engaged in complex transactions and legal drafting. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nottingham and a Bar Vocational Course from BPP Law School.
