Adam Bæhrenz Björgvinsson

Adam Bauer is an accomplished software engineer and threat intelligence researcher with extensive experience in cybersecurity and software development. Currently serving as the Lead Software Engineer for Rapid7 since March 2022, Adam leads a development team focused on the Insight Agent and backend services for log data collection and policy enforcement. Prior to this role, Adam spent over four years at Lookout as a Senior Staff Threat Intelligence Researcher, where responsibilities included tracking targeted threats and reverse engineering malware, alongside work as a Staff Malware Researcher. Adam’s career began at Skillsoft, where roles included Senior Security Analyst, Lead Software Developer, and Software Developer, with a focus on security management, software automation, and SaaS environment infrastructure.
