Joanna W. has extensive work experience, beginning in 2014 when they worked as an Intern at Utopia and as an Office Assistant at Tsinghua University. In 2016, they were an Intern at 3M Company in the R&D Design Lab and a UX Design Intern at Land Rover, where they conducted surveys and static assessments of JLR products. In 2017, they were a User Experience at Artefact, and in 2018 they were a Creative & VI Executive at TotalEnergies. Currently, they are a Product Manager-Smart City at 51WORLD.

Joanna W. attended Tongji University from 2012 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Industry and Product Design. In 2015 and 2016, they participated in an exchange program at Tunghai University, focusing on Product Design.
