Grant Stuart

59 James Street is a one-man storytelling and idea-making band! That bandleader's name is Grant Stuart! The company name is borne out of my adventures as a child, playing in my grandparents'​ backyard in Scotland. Which just happened to be the North Sea! Standing at the sea wall at the end of my grandparents'​ property, a mere 50 yards from their ancestral home, I would pretend to be a ship's captain like my grandfather and great grandfather before him, navigating a fierce ocean as the waves from the incoming tide crashed against and spilled dangerously over the sea wall. When the tide was out, I would play with my Scottish chums in the wild rock formations known as skellies, which looked like stalagmites, jaggedly rising from the Earth. From there, my imagination took off and I've never looked back! From an award-winning career in the television industry as a leader of creative and marketing teams on both coasts, to my current role as screenwriter and script consultant to up-and-coming Hollywood writers, whose imaginations I encourage to catch fire and whose storytelling structure I help define, I am proud of my ability to create captivating content and bring out the best in the exceptional people I mentor.
