Wilfried Schaffner

Wilfried Schaffner is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience leading innovative software and product development across various industries. Currently serving as CEO of 5G Systems GmbH since January 2024, Schaffner heads a software development team enhancing the real-money gaming sector, as the technology hub for Tipico. Prior to this, Schaffner was the Chief Technology & Product Officer at Philips Dictation from November 2018 to January 2024, where a successful transformation occurred from hardware to integrated software solutions in speech management. As CEO of tripwolf GmbH from July 2013 to August 2018, Schaffner guided the travel app's growth, achieving over 13 million downloads through a robust mobile-first strategy. Earlier roles include CTO at Nearmap.com and VP of Engineering at Mobile Messenger, among others, where Schaffner drove significant technological advancements and product strategies.
