Becca Wert

Becca Wert is the current Director at The 5th Avenue Theatre. Becca has over 20 years of experience in the field of fundraising, development and strategic planning for arts organizations.

Wert began their career in 1993 as the Assistant Director of Development for the Seattle Symphony. In 1999 they became the Director of Development for Laguna Playhouse, where they oversaw all contributed giving campaigns, including board and annual gifts, special events and projects, foundations, corporate and government relations, and planned giving programs. Wert was also responsible for implementing and managing a successful capital campaign that raised $15 million.

In 2000 Wert became the Director of Development for the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. During their time at the Geffen Playhouse, they oversaw all contributed giving campaigns and successfully implemented a capital campaign that raised $30 million.

In January 2002, Wert established the first-ever Development Department for The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle. As the Director of Theater Advancement and Development, they were responsible for strategically planning and implementing integrated contributed income campaigns for both operating and capital expenses. Under their leadership, The 5th Avenue Theatre raised over $30 million.

Wert has been recognized as a leader in the field of arts fundraising. Becca has a proven track record of success in developing innovative strategies to maximize contributed income and grow charitable giving programs.

Becca Wert achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from St. Martin's University.
