Nils Schillemans is a senior software developer at 5th Floor Software since January 2020, focusing on the digitalization of a subdomain in the Walloon social security sector and previously served as an application architect for a greenfield project within the same context. Prior to this, Nils worked at Smals from September 2012 to 2019, initially as a Java software developer, then advancing to lead Java developer, where responsibilities included mentoring developers and overseeing architectural cohesion. Nils also held the position of Java application architect, collaborating with agile teams to create interlinked applications for the Belgian National Social Security Office. Nils completed a Master of Commercial Sciences in Business Information Management at Odisee and a Bachelor of Applied Computer Science at Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven.
