Nicola Wilkin PFHEA FInstP is an accomplished academic with extensive experience at the University of Birmingham since February 1995, currently serving as the Academic Director of Digital Education and Equity, Director of Education for the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, and Professor of Physics & Head of Teaching Innovation within the same college. Previous roles include Senior Lecturer and Head of Teaching Innovation at the College of Engineering & Physical Sciences and a lecturer in theoretical physics. Nicola Wilkin has also contributed to the Institute of Physics from 2008 to December 2015 in various capacities, including Hon Secretary of the QQQ Group and the Women in Physics Group. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral position at Imperial College London from 1995 to 1996. Educational credentials include a PhD in Theoretical Physics from The University of Manchester (1990 - 1993), a BSc in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Southampton (1987 - 1990), and foundational education at Claremont High School (1980 - 1987), with recent executive education completed at INSEAD in September 2023.
