Dr. Wilson Liao has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dr. Wilson most recently served as the Director at an undisclosed company from November 2020. Prior to this, they were the Regional Sales & Business Development Director - APAC at 6fusion USA from March 2012 until November 2020. In this role, they managed and grew the company's footprint in various vertical markets, including FSI, Telco, EDA, Oil & Gas, Industry Manufacturing, Life Science, Bioinformatics, Government & Research, Educational Institutions, and Fortune 1000+ accounts.

In this role, they represented various security appliances and products and managed channel partners, alliances with global service providers, and achieved sales revenue targets.

Dr. Liao began their career at Intel Corporation in 1990, where they held various roles including Regional Network Consultant, Regional Systems Specialist, Regional BDM, and Area Sales Manager. Dr. Wilson was responsible for managing the distribution and channel partner business and executing quarterly and annual business plans.

Before joining Intel, they worked at Mentor Graphics as a Regional System Support Applications Engineer from March 1987 to April 1990. Their responsibilities included providing regional support on CAD-CAE hardware and software applications.

Dr. Liao's earliest work experience was at Wang Computers, Boston Massachusetts, where they served as a Senior Customer Service Engineer. Dr. Wilson achieved the "Pride-in-Service CEO Award" from Dr. An Wang personally in 1982 and was promoted to Senior Customer Service Engineer in October 1983. At Wang Computers, they provided repairs, maintenance, and support services to end-users on-site.

Throughout their career, Dr. Wilson Liao has showcased their expertise in sales, business development, channel management, and building strategic partnerships in various industries such as technology, cloud infrastructure management, security, and software solutions.

Dr. Wilson Liao has a diverse educational background. Dr. Wilson obtained a Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic in 1977. In 1978, they received a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Practice from the City & Guilds of London Institute. Dr. Wilson further pursued their education and earned a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the British Computer Society Part II, UK Professional Body in 1990.

Dr. Liao also holds an Executive Channel MBA degree from the Intel Business Executive Program, which they completed in 2000. In 2005, they completed a BBA with a specialization in Marketing from Bolton University. Additionally, they acquired an International Diploma in Teaching and Training, and became a Chartered Certified Trainer from the City & Guilds of London Institute in 2006.

Continuing their education, Dr. Liao pursued a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business & Marketing Management, earning a Fellowship AMA certification from the UK Professional Body in 2008. In 2009, they obtained a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

Dr. Liao's commitment to lifelong learning is evident through their continued education and certifications. In 2006, they obtained a certification in eEYE Digital Security from eEye Digital Security. Dr. Wilson is also a member of Asia Professional Speakers, an Affiliate Member of WorldWide National Professional Speakers, where they enhanced their presentation and enriching skills from 2005 to 2011.
