David Thorpe

David currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Mcleon & Thorpe Consultants. Previously, he served as the Director of Career Pathways Initiative at the Prisoner Reentry Institute, and the Director of Employment and Vocational/Educational Counseling at the Fortune Society in New York, where he oversaw job placement and retention, worked closely with foundations and various governmental agencies. He received a BA from St. John’s University, graduating summa cum laude.David served nearly 25 years behind bars prior to embarking on his career in workforce development. David was also a 2016-2017 Beyond the Bars Fellow at the Center for Justice at Columbia University.
