Silke Abele

Silke Abele is the current Head of Development at 72 Films. Silke has over 18 years of experience in the television industry, working in development, production, and various other roles.

Abele started their career in 1999 as a freelance television producer. Silke worked on a variety of shows for different companies, including Rapido Television, World's End Television, BBC Entertainment, and September Films. In 2004, they became a Development Producer at North One Television, where they worked for nine years. In 2013, they became the Head of Development at Dragonfly Film and Television, where they worked for four years.

Abele is an experienced television executive with a strong track record in development. Silke has a keen eye for identifying new talent and bringing fresh ideas to television.

Silke Abele studied for a Master of Philosophy in Silke'story, Film and Television at the University of Birmingham. Silke went on to study for a Bachelor of Social Science in Media and Cultural Studies at the same university.

Silke Abele reports to Mark Raphael, Founder, CEO. They are on a team with Yvonne Bainton - Director of Operations, Michael Dias - Head of Post Production, and Grace Hansen - Finance Manager.
