John McIlwraith

John McIlwraith is the current Director at 7SIGNAL. Prior to this, they were with Assurex Health, Inc from December 2007 to August 2016 where they held the positions of Board Chair and Lead Director. Assurex Health is a personalized medicine company that specializes in pharmacogenomics and is dedicated to helping physicians determine the right medication for individual patients suffering from neuropsychiatric and other disorders. The company was founded to commercialize industry-leading personalized medicine technology for neuropsychiatric disorders. Assurex Health has licensed technology from Mayo Clinic and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Prior to their work with Assurex Health, John McIlwraith was a Partner with Jones Day from August 1985 to December 1994. As a corporate attorney representing privately-held companies and venture capital/private equity firms, they co-founded the firm's Private Ventures group and was a member of the Cleveland office Hiring Committee. John was admitted to partnership in 1993 and resigned to join publicly-traded client Quantum Health Resources as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Business Development.

John McIlwraith attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where they earned a law degree. John also holds a BA in Business Administration from Hillsdale College.
