Mr Roosevelt Ogbonna was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank plc in May 2022. He was previously Group Deputy Managing Director (2017-2022) and the Executive Director, Commercial Banking Division (2013-2017). He has over 20 years’ experience in banking, cutting across Treasury, Commercial and Corporate Banking.
Mr Ogbonna joined Access Bank in 2002 as a Manager from Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a Chartered Financial Analyst, and an Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. Mr Ogbonna holds multiple postgraduate degrees and has completed Executive Management Development Programmes with several leading institutions.
Mr Ogbonna represents the Bank on the boards of its subsidiaries in the UK and South Africa, Central Securities Clearing System Plc, and Africa Finance Corporation.
