Mario Melo

Mario Melo is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at 8 Rivers, a climate technology company focused on the clean energy transition. Since January 2023, Mario has contributed to the commercialization of innovative infrastructure-scale technologies within the company's diverse portfolio, which includes projects like NET Power and 8RH2. Prior to this role, Mario worked at Saudi Aramco as a Project Engineer starting in July 2015, and held positions at Dresser-Rand as a Professional Integrated Systems Engineer and at Solar Turbines as a Senior Project Engineer. Mario holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Colombia, earned over the course of studies from 1980 to 1987.
