Kathy Steele

Kathy Steele is an experienced writer with a diverse background in journalism and content creation. Currently serving as a contributing writer for 83 Degrees since November 2013, Kathy focuses on new developments and feature stories in the Tampa Bay area. Previously, Kathy held the position of Staff Writer at The Laker/Lutz News from January 2015 to October 2022 and contributed articles for The Florida Conference of United Methodist Church from 2013 to October 2022, covering topics such as mission trips and community programs. Kathy also wrote web content for Bisk Education between 2013 and 2014 and worked as a reporter for The Tampa Tribune from September 1998 to October 2013. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in English from Adelphi University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Georgia College & State University. Additionally, Kathy pursued creative writing at the University of Iowa.
