Monika Michalak

Monika Michalak has a diverse work experience in the field of HR and recruitment, with a focus on talent acquisition and management in the gaming industry. Monika is currently working as an Ambassador for Women in Games. In 2015, they founded and served as the CEO of 8Bit, a global recruitment company for game developers. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as the Talent Acquisition Lead at realworld-one. In 2017, they co-founded cherrypick, an HR automation company. Prior to that, they were the Director of HR Overseas at iDreamsky Technology and a Technical Recruiter at Playcorp Studios. Monika also worked as the HR and Recruitment Lead at CMUNE and had internship roles at The Youth Company and Institute of Personnel Development. Monika started their career as a Junior IT Recruitment Specialist at Interactive Agency br-design.pl.

Monika Michalak earned their IB Diploma from the International Baccalaurete School No.1309 in the years 2002 to 2004. Monika then pursued a Master's degree in Archaeology at the University of Gdansk from 2004 to 2009. Following that, from 2006 to 2011, Monika completed another Master's degree in Psychology at the same university. Finally, in 2010 to 2011, they attended Erötvös Loránd University to further their studies in Psychology.
