Aravind Upadhyaya

Aravind Upadhyaya has been in the technology industry since 2006, when they began as an Assistant Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). In 2009, they moved to a Digital Evangelist role in the Retail Solutions division, where they worked closely with the Tata Innovation Labs to develop concepts for new products in the area of mixed reality, blockchain, IoT, and machine vision. Aravind also provided "Digital Reimagination" perspectives to clients by articulating the real need for products and services. In 2016, they founded TriOcula Technologies, where they designed, developed, and commercialized advanced surgical planning suites for neurosurgeries, immersive patient engagement using augmented reality, and interactive holograms for pre-op planning and post-op visualization. In 2019, they founded 8chili Inc, where they are developing creator tools that enable everyone to create 3D immersive content.

Aravind Upadhyaya obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Vishweshwaraiah Technological University between 2001 and 2005. Aravind then attended Leipzig University and Purdue University Daniels School of Business, receiving a Master of Business Administration - MBA from both institutions in 2009. In 2013, they obtained a PRINCE2 Practitoner certification from APMG-International.
