Blake Wood

Blake Wood has been working in the energy services industry since 2000. In 2007, they began working as a Drilling Engineer for Oil Search Limited, where they provided wellsite supervision and planning for drilling and completion operations in Papua New Guinea. In 2009, they transitioned to Chevron as a Drill Site Manager, where they were the senior company representative at the drilling location and constructed high pressure Duvernay shale appraisal and production wells. From 2012 to 2018, they worked for Shell Oil Company as a Drilling Engineer, where they planned and executed the delivery of Montney development and exploration wells from the Calgary office. In 2018, they became the CEO of 8Sigma Energy Services Inc.

Blake Wood attended the Hult International Business School from 2013 to 2014, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration. Blake then attended the University of Calgary from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In March 2008, they obtained a Professional Engineer, P.Eng. certification from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
