Karen Fowler has had a successful career in the media and entertainment industry. Karen is currently working as the VP of Development and Production at 9 Story Media Group, where they are involved in project development and finding talented writers and creatives. Prior to this, they worked at Princess Titanium Productions as a Showrunner, Development Executive, and Writer. Karen also held the position of Exec in Charge of Production & Development Children at CBC/Radio-Canada, where they oversaw the development of new children's programming. Karen has a strong background in content development and production, as showcased during their time as Vice President and Executive Producer at Sesame Workshop. Karen oversaw the reinvention of the iconic show "The Electric Company" and was the creative lead on the local co-production of "Sesame Street" in Japan. Earlier in their career, Karen worked at Nickelodeon as a Senior Producer and Development Executive, where they led the development and production of short films. Throughout their career, they have showcased their ability to creatively shepherd projects from concept to delivery, and has a strong track record of successful collaborations and pitches at both domestic and international markets.

Karen Fowler attended Columbia University from 2007 to 2008 and received a degree in Holistic Health Counselling with a focus on Integrative Nutrition. Karen then studied at the University of Waterloo – United College, majoring in psychology and philosophy, although the specific dates of their enrollment and completion are unknown.
