Melissa Taylor

Melissa Taylor has a strong background in legal and business affairs in the media and entertainment industry. Melissa is currently serving as the Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs (Production) at 9 Story Media Group since March 2021. Prior to that, Melissa worked at CBC as the Senior Manager of Business & Rights from April 2018 to March 2021. Melissa also held various leadership positions at Entertainment One, marblemedia, Spin Master Entertainment, and Cookie Jar Entertainment, where they were responsible for business and legal affairs. Melissa has extensive experience in negotiating deals, handling financing agreements, and managing corporate matters. Melissa began their career in Alliance Atlantis Television Production, working on television movies and series for major US and Canadian networks. Melissa Taylor pursued their education chronologically, beginning with their high school studies at A.Y. Jackson Secondary School from 1973 to 1979. Melissa then enrolled at Queen's University from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in History. Following this, Melissa attended Ryerson University from 1983 to 1985, working towards a Bachelor of Applied Arts (incomplete) degree in Film & Photography, specifically Media Studies. Finally, they returned to Queen's University from 1985 to 1988, obtaining an LL.B. degree.
