Sean MacRae

Sean Macrae has accumulated a diverse range of technical and managerial experience in the media and entertainment industry. Sean most recently served as the Director of Technology at 9 Story Media Group since November 2020. Prior to that, they held the same position at Portfolio Entertainment from October 2017 to November 2020. Additionally, Sean worked as a Technical Lead at the Screen Industries Research and Training Centre (SIRT) in 2017. Sean has also held roles such as Systems Resource Manager at Arc Productions, Head of Systems at SPIN VFX, and Rendering Supervisor at Arc Productions. Before that, they were a Technical Supervisor for VFX and Avid suites at Astral Media and a Technical Operations Manager at Procreation Design Works. Sean began their career as a Technical Supervisor at Keystone Entertainment, where they managed IT and VFX operations. Sean has extensive experience in rendering management, technical support, pipeline design, and event technical operations.

Sean Macrae attended Oakville Trafalgar High School, although the specific dates of their enrollment are not provided. Later, in 1999 to 2000, they attended The Harris Institute for the Arts, where they pursued a degree in Producing/Engineering PEP with a specialization in Sound Production.
