Yuliya Zhukova

Yuliya Zhukova has a diverse range of work experience in data engineering and software development. Yuliya started their career at Zacks Investment Research as an Oracle Developer, where they created tools to transfer data from legacy systems to Oracle-based financial data mart. Yuliya then joined Baxter International Inc. as an Oracle Developer, where they developed processes to upload data from external sources into an Oracle-based reporting data mart.

Yuliya's next role was at NAVTEQ, where they served as a Lead Software Engineer. Here, they played a major role in integrating Quality Assurance (QA) into the development process of the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) product. Yuliya also worked with the traffic organization to implement testing for a new team focused on creating analytical traffic products using Hadoop. Yuliya continued to grow within NAVTEQ and became a Senior Software Engineer, where they created and maintained test tools, executed test cases, and eventually led the test team.

Following their time at NAVTEQ, Yuliya joined HERE as a Lead Software Engineer and Product Owner. Yuliya served on a team responsible for tracking and storing map changes in a data warehouse. Yuliya created data models, provided ETL specifications, and produced ad-hoc reports and data visualizations in Tableau.

Most recently, Yuliya joined 98point6 Inc. as a Data Engineer. Yuliya was the first person on the data engineering team and played a crucial role in building out the discipline and growing the organization. Yuliya designed and owned the original model for the data warehouse and led the development of ETL pipelines.

Throughout their career, Yuliya has demonstrated leadership skills by mentoring and training junior engineers, participating in interviews, and taking on team lead roles. Yuliya'stechnical skills include proficiency in programming languages such as PL/SQL, R, Python, and experience with tools like Oracle, Hadoop, and Tableau.
