Winston Berger has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Winston began their career in 2004 as the Director of Davis Food Co-op. In 2006, they ventured into the music industry, working as a Composer, Producer, and Multimedia Artist for OLOKUN and as a solo artist under the name WinstonTaneous. From 2006 to 2014, they also worked at Just Desserts as an R&D, QA, and Marketing Associate. In 2011, they founded and served as the President of the Arts & Consciousness Student Association at John F. Kennedy University. In 2012, they interned at StoryCenter as a Video Production Intern. Winston transitioned to the healthcare industry in 2013, working as a Quality Assurance Assistant at East Bay Agency for Children until 2015. Starting in 2015, they joined A Better Way, Inc., initially as a Health Care Data Analyst, then transitioning to Data Systems Manager, and ultimately becoming the Director of IT and Data Systems in July 2019. In 2018, they also worked as an Affiliate Software Developer at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine.

Winston Berger has a diverse education history. Winston obtained their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Transformative Arts from John F. Kennedy University, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended Peralta Community College District from 2006 to 2007 to study Computer Science and Programming, although they did not obtain a degree in that field. Winston's undergraduate education took place at DePaul University, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from 1990 to 1994. In addition to their academic achievements, Winston has also obtained certifications in different areas. Winston completed "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" certification from Coursera in April 2020 and obtained a certification in "Systems Thinking In Public Health" from the same institution in January 2020.
