Tamra Aguilera

Tamra Aguilera is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment. Currently at A Caring Alternative, LLC since June 2017, Tamra conducts psychosocial assessments and develops treatment plans. At Cognitive Connection, started in September 2014, Tamra provides assessment and treatment for individuals struggling with various mental health issues. Prior experience includes serving as a Certified Peer Support Specialist at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where Tamra mentored veterans, and a Medical Support Assistant in the same organization, managing office operations and patient inquiries. Tamra's foundational experience includes serving in the US Army as an Ears Nose Throat Technician. Tamra holds a Master of Social Work from Appalachian State University and has additional degrees in social work and human services with a focus on substance abuse counseling.
