Leona Allen Ford

Leona Allen Ford has a comprehensive work experience spanning several decades. Leona began their career as a Reporter at The Dallas Times Herald in 1989 and then moved on to work as a Reporter/Editor at The Akron Beacon Journal from 1992 to 1994. In 2007, Leona joined The Dallas Morning News as a Deputy Managing Editor and later took on the role of Editorial Board member. Leona held these positions until 2020. In the same year, they became the Chief Talent and Diversity Officer at Medium Giant (formerly Belo + Company), where they worked until June 2022. Currently, Leona holds the position of Chief Talent and Diversity Officer/Deputy Publisher at DallasNews Corporation, starting from August 2020.

Leona Allen Ford pursued their high school education at Skyline High School in Dallas from 1980 to 1982, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Leona then enrolled at the University of North Texas from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Journalism.
