Emily Waters

Emily Waters serves as the Executive Director at A.I.M by Kyle Abraham since February 2025. Previously, Waters held the position of Senior Director, Innovation and Impact at YoungArts from September 2023 to February 2025. In addition to a role as a Board Member at Collage Dance from 2021 to 2025, Waters worked at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation from June 2016 to September 2023, progressing from Executive Assistant to the Senior Program Officer for Arts and Cultural Heritage to Senior Program Associate and Program Associate, Arts and Culture. Waters was also Board Liaison & Executive Assistant at American Ballet Theatre from April 2013 to June 2016 and completed a fellowship at the DeVos Institute, Kennedy Center, and BAM between April 2012 and December 2013. Early career roles included a position as Corps de ballet with both Pennsylvania Ballet (October 1998 - June 2008) and Royal Danish Ballet (August 2000 - July 2001). Emily Waters earned a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts from Saint Mary's College of California.
