Heikki Salko

Heikki Salko is a Design Engineer at A-Insinöörit since April 2022, focusing on the design of transport infrastructure in southern Finland, particularly street layouts and cycleways, while also contributing to industrial sites, hospitals, and tunnels. Previously, Salko worked as a Transport Engineer for the Urban Environment Division of Helsinki, handling minor transport planning tasks and liaising with residents. Experience includes a role as a Master's Thesis Worker at Helsinki City Transport, supporting the Kalasatama-Pasila tramway project, and various positions at the Helsinki City Planning Department, where involvement included projects like Raide-Jokeri and improving cycling infrastructure. Salko’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Spatial Planning and Transportation Engineering from Aalto University and an Erasmus+ exchange program at Delft University of Technology.
