Erika Naakka

Erika Naakka is a content creator and influencer at A-lehdet Oy, with experience writing for Trendi and Demi magazines and managing an award-winning blog. In addition to content creation, Erika has collaborated with brands on sponsored content and social media engagement. As a Doctoral Student at the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Medicine, Erika focused on oral and maxillofacial diseases, contributing to cancer research through the development of the Myogel matrix and utilizing CRISPR/Cas9 technology. Previously, Erika served as a Laboratory Coordinator, managing budgets and grant applications for the Oral Cancer Research Group. Prior experience includes roles as a blogger and journalist at Aller Media Oy, and as a higher education trainee at the Finnish Food Safety Authority. Erika holds a PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Helsinki and a Master's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Genetics and Physiology from the University of Turku.
